What made me start this blog (Half-Religious rant)

What made me start this blog (Half-Religious rant)

I have always wondered this question "Why do some people make blogs?", well, after this evening I think I know some of the reason.
The reason I am creating this blog, is to do what most people do here on the internet: ramble, bitch, complain. But, unlike most, I plan to bring up some rather good points that people will either agree with me, or disagree with me on. I can only imagine what sort of comments I will retrieve off of blogspot users.

This has happened over the process of two nights. I was having a mini-argument with my friend over religion (I felt offended, it felt like she was pushing religion onto me, so I thought I would do the same, which got  her rather upset). I thought the conversation was done, until someone else (a really bitchy girl I went to school with) had to stick her nose in and tell me why was wrong for "doing what I did". In fact, I will post her response.

Uhm wow. Well maybe you should keep your opinion to yourself. I don't exercise my belief in God to often but I do believe in a higher power & Heaven/Hell. And coming across this .. conversation, I guess I can call it, just makes me wonder why you even stated your opinion when not only did noone ask you of it but also how pointless it was of you to state it. You know -friend- believes in this so why did you even dispute her opinion. Sorry for butting in -friend- but it just bothers me that people feel they have to throw their opinions out there when there not needed or wanted. If you don't believe in her belief that's cool idrc, but we don't comment on your personal beliefs trying to prove them wrong. Keep your opinions about religion & relationships to yourself that's all I'm saying."

If we were having an argument or a misunderstanding, as it were. This bitch, had no right to but into our conversation. Am I right? It doesn't piss me off that she called my opinion pointless, but when I don't even mention religion until my friend does, I get blamed full heartedly for it. Note: I did not try "proving her religious views wrong", nor did I even say anything in the sense.

Now, I will inform you, the reader. What my religious views are so you don't happen to find me offensive like others do.

Hands down, I don't believe in a God, or a God-like figure. I think that's a bunch of horse manure. I believe that once we die, our energies are recycled back into the universe. The energy that inhabits us and gives us a "soul" is what keeps everything alive. I believe, that if we're lucky, we will get reincarnated back into a human being. If not, our energies will inhabit anything living, or just plain keeping the universe up and running. Energies do not die off once the person does, is my reasoning on this. And, objects in motion stay in motion.  I also believe in the "Big Bang Theory", which people say is not true, "you can't create something from nothing". But, there is never nothing, there has always been energy and atoms.

Now as for the life on Earth, us human beings, the reason the Earth has life, is because the Earth has means to create and support life. Single celled organisms at the beginning of it all, after the Earth was born and the lavas began to cool, began to form and evolve (I believe in evolution all the way). Over the years, those organisms began to evolve, and adapting to the ever changing environment, creating everything that we now know about.

I am sorry if I offended you if you believe in God or Jesus Christ.
Think....that a humanoid figure, who came from no where before the universe was created. Then got bored and decided to create humans on Earth, and made them breed with each other to now create what we know as the human race. Think about that if you're married, you're technically married to your brother/sister. Isn't that weird?

But..there is some debate on that. Cain and Abel magically got wives that were not produced from Adam and Eve. What a surprise...hnn. I cannot explain that, can you? If you sit down and read through the bible, there are so many things that are so improbable it makes my eyes want to bleed. In fact, most everything in the bible makes my eyes want to bleed.

It really baffles me how people can believe in such things, especially when it all sounds like a fairy tale. I can imagine if it's fed to you right from birth it's believable because you don't know any better. I think people are so afraid of death and the unknown, just about any story would do to help you fall asleep at night.

So, to you the reader, I pose questions to you.
1) In another 1,000 years, if humans are still around, do you think that Christianity and all related religions will fall into the same category of "mythology" that the Greek and Roman beliefs are under?
2) If you believe in God, yet do not believe in ghosts and aliens (Even though you have seen none of those three), why?
3)Think deep, think personally, think logically. Maybe answer it a few days after reading my rant so you're not in a rage or apathetic mindset. Why do you believe in God/Jesus Christ? (Only well thought out answers please. None of this "he's our Lord and Savior!" )

Have a good day~

  1. I don't know what I believe. It's been a long time since I asked myself. I just try to live my life in a harmonious manner.
